You can now learn about the 27 scientists selected for the Ninth Edition of Science by Women

You can learn about the 27 beneficiaries who will be part of the Ninth Edition of “Science by Women”, as well as the Spanish research centers where they will carry out their research. The call, which opened last July, has received 160 applications, 30 more than the last edition. This is proof that the program is becoming increasingly popular among African universities.

This year we have a total of 26 centers, including two new ones: IDISCAM (Instituto de Investigaciones Sanitarias de Castilla la Mancha) and IDIVAL (Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Valdecilla).

We are therefore starting 2024 with a program that continues to evolve. In addition to the scholarships, we will continue to promote training, dissemination and technology transfer activities, supporting the leadership of African women scientists and strengthening the network “N.O.W. IS Africa” (Network of Women Innovating in Science in Africa).

This edition of the program has the collaboration of the 26 receiving centers, as well as the sponsorship of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Provincial Council of Vizcaya, the Provincial Council of Guipuzcoa, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Endesa and the FCSAI Foundation.
