Barcelona, 29th September 2020. The President of Grupo Planeta, José Creuheras; María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, President of the Mujeres por África, and Carlos Giménez, CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, have agreed to collaborate for the third consecutive year in a university scholarship program within the framework of Learn Africa, the Foundation’s scholarship program.
Since 2013, Learn Africa, in collaboration with nearly forty Spanish universities, has brought more than two hundred young university women from virtually every African country to Spain.
Planeta Formación y Universidades is committed to awarding scholarships to four students at its university campus in Rabat, two at the Licence en Tourisme International of the OSTELEA Tourism Management School and another two at the Licence en Administration des Affaires of the ESLSCA Business School. These scholarships include 100% of the cost of tuition/fees for the three years of study. In addition, five other students will be awarded 50% of the tuition fees for the Master’s programs in Digital Marketing and e-Business, Trading and Finance and Business Finance at ESLSCA Business School. All the scholarships will be assigned after a selection process whose criteria are the academic record, the social situation and the motivation of the candidates.
Planeta Formación y Universidades adds this collaboration to its commitment to transforming people and enriching society through knowledge. Throughout these three years of collaboration, the scholarship students are developing their degree studies with an outstanding academic performance and it will be in 2021 when this first promotion graduates from Licence en Tourime International after their semester stay in OSTELEA Barcelona. The evaluation of the six scholarship students so far is extraordinary both for their strictly academic evaluation and for their involvement, commitment, attitude and participative character.
