Ellas son Cine closes its eighth edition with a full house

Madrid, October 26, 2020. Despite the coronavirus, despite all the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the eighth edition of Ellas son Cine has been a great success with the public. The Sala Berlanga, the usual venue of our cycle, was full in the opening and closing sessions, with Nommer 37, on Tuesday, and Papicha, on Saturday, and registered three quarters of the capacity in the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday projections with Un diván en Túnez, Adam and The white line.

The fact that no contagion has been registered in the cinemas and an interesting and attractive programme have made this eighth edition of Ellas son Cine one of the most popular to date.

Women for Africa would like to thank all the audience for their presence at these days of cinema, which, like the foundation itself, has made a commitment to the big screen by taking all preventive measures.

Next year we will return with Ellas son Cine 9, already on the verge of celebrating its tenth anniversary by disseminating the work of African women directors.

Meanwhile, you can see the video summary of the cycle here.
