With the sponsorship of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Women for Africa Foundation launches, for the third consecutive year, an online scholarship programme with the aim of offering complementary training opportunities to those African women enrolled in university or who have already completed undergraduate or postgraduate university studies.
Since the launch of Learn Africa Canarias in 2020, 670 women from 44 African countries have been able to enroll in one or more of the online courses attached to the 900 scholarships offered under the programme to date.
This year’s call includes a wide variety of courses in different subjects, including specialized short courses, Spanish courses and university training courses designed by the Universities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and La Laguna (ULL), and their foundations, Fundación Universitaria de Las Palmas (FULP) and Fundación Canaria General de la Universidad de La Laguna (FGULL), respectively, as well as by the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands (ITC).
All of them will be taken online and are scheduled to be delivered between October of this year and April 2024.
Places are limited, so only one application per person is allowed for each group of scholarships, that is, a specialized course scholarship and, additionally, a Spanish language course scholarship. Hurry up and don’t miss out on your scholarship!
The application deadline has been extended for those specialized courses that have not yet been filled.
The registration period will remain open until September 20th 2023 (23.59 hours CET).
The courses will be closed as the places are completed, therefore, it is recommended to submit the application as soon as possible.
Only applications received through the website will be accepted; those sent through email will not be accepted.
