  • Forestry Management: Research on forest ecosystems, reforestation, and sustainable forest management.
  • Hydrology and Soil Science: Studies on soil conservation, erosion control, and water resource management.
  • Climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies: Research on climate change adaptation of forestry systems and mitigation measures as carbon stock or other ecological services.
  • Water Management and Irrigation: Efficient water use, drought-resistant crops, and water treatment technologies.

• Agriculture and Food Science: Research focused on sustainable agricultural practices, improving crop yields, and food safety.
  • Precision Agriculture: Use of technologies like drones, remote sensing, and GIS to optimize farming practices.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Studies on food traceability, processing, and preservation to ensure safe and high-quality food.
  • Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems: Research on precision agriculture, sustainable intensification, and agroecology.

• Biotechnology and Bioengineering: Genetic engineering, bio-based materials, and sustainable technologies for industrial and environmental applications.
  • Plant Breeding and Biotechnology: Improvement of crop varieties for productivity, resistance to pests, and climate resilience.
  • Biotechnology Applied to Agriculture: Genetic improvement, pest control, and developing bio-based products.

• Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine: Livestock health, animal genetics, and welfare in production systems.
  • Animal Health and Disease Control: This research focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases in livestock and pets. It includes infectious diseases, zoonoses, and veterinary public health.
  • Animal Welfare and Sustainable Livestock Production: Research aimed at improving animal welfare standards in various production systems, including studies on behavior, nutrition, and the environmental impact of livestock farming.

• Renewable Energy: Advancements in solar and bioenergy technologies.
  • Renewable Energy in Rural Areas: Integration of solar, wind, and bioenergy for rural development.

• Gender Equality and Social Inclusion: Focused on promoting gender equality and inclusion across academic, social, and workplace settings.
  • Inclusive Education: Studies on creating educational environments that cater to diverse learning needs, including the inclusion of students with disabilities, marginalized groups, and gender minorities.
  • Workplace Gender Equality and Diversity: Focused on reducing gender gaps in the workplace, this research investigates barriers to career advancement for women, particularly in STEM fields, and promotes gender-sensitive organizational policies.
