Duration: 6 months

Research areas: Gender Equality, Peace and Security, Conflict Resolution, Transitional Justice, Human Rights and other fields related to Public International Law and International Relations.

Degree awarded: Research certificate

Academic requirements: Candidates must be enrolled at a Ph.D. program in either a Department of a University/ Institute or in a Research Institute, which is recognized to conduct and award of the Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required to apply for this Fellowship.

Precedence will be given to those candidates including a gender perspective in their research projects.

This Fellowship offers the opportunity to undertake a 6 month research stay at University Carlos III during the first semester of academic year 2017-18 (from September 2017), under the supervision of the UNESCO/UC3M Chair in Public Freedoms. The Fellow is expected to advance her doctoral research during the stay.
