The Castilla-La Mancha Health Research Institute (IDISCAM) is conceived as a multidisciplinary biomedical research centre, with the aim of promoting, developing, transferring, managing and disseminating research, scientific and technological knowledge, innovation, teaching and training in the field of Biomedicine and Health Sciences to contribute to the prevention of disease, the promotion and protection of health, the treatment and rehabilitation of disease, and to the improvement of the quality of life of the population, teaching and training in the field of Biomedicine and Health Sciences to contribute to the prevention of disease, the promotion and protection of health, the treatment and rehabilitation of disease and to raise the level of knowledge about the health of the population, as well as to manage the research of the entities that comprise it. IDISCAM counts on the collaboration of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the University of Alcalá.
