1st call for Learn Africa – Canarias Program

Introduction

This new scholarship program that the Women for Africa Foundation launches with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands wants to open new study opportunities for African women and, especially, for Spanish-speakers or with a high level of Spanish, since most of the studies are taught in this language.

Throughout the year 2021, different calls for application will be offered so that African women can access a wide variety of programs. These master’s degrees, university own degrees, language courses and specialized courses designed by the Universities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and La Laguna, and their foundations, the Canary Islands University Foundation of the University of Las Palmas and the General Canary Islands Foundation of the University of La Laguna, will give access to a great diversity of subjects.

A few aspects to take into account

These scholarships of online modality cover registration, tuition fees and issuance of the degree obtained.

You must have a properly configured computer system to develop the online course, considering the following aspects: Internet connection, web browser, operating system, desktop applications, etc.

In order to know the language in which the master’s or course you wish to apply is taught, it is important that you read carefully the information that appears in the description of the master’s or course you are interested in. This  conversation will be conducted in the language of the scholarship you have applied for.

The beneficiary agrees to deliver a duly certified and translated copy of her university degree to the scholarship university (when requered). If you are selected, we recommend starting these administrative process when you accept the scholarship.
