GBfoods joins the Women for Africa’s board of trustees

Madrid, January 17, 2023 Women for Africa now has a new sponsor. The Spanish food company of international dimension GBfoods, better known in our country because of brands such as Gallina Blanca, joins the group of firms that constitutes our board of Trustees.

The signing for the effective incorporation of the company has been carried out today at our headquarters by our president, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, and the CEO of GBfoods, Ignasi Ricou, who will be the representative in the board. Eduardo Mesegue, Director of the Legal and Institutional Affairs Board of the company, joins the Executive Committee of the foundation.

GBfoods, based in Barcelona and with more than 85 years of history is present in about fifty countries, including more than ten in Africa, where they have seven factories. They have an experience of more than five decades on the continent, in which the firm has been involved in the well-being of local communities and has created thousands of job opportunities.

With its addition to our board of trustees, GBfoods underlines its declared commitment to African women and its appreciation for the work carried out by the foundation that this new and important support will allow us to reinforce. Especially in countries where the company has factories, such as Nigeria and Ghana, and MxA projects.

Women for Africa warmly welcomes GBfoods and expresses its gratitude publicly for the trust placed in this organization.
